Boris woke with a normal kitty curiosity today. he spotted the turtle in the tank and decided to check him out.He balanced himself on the edges of the tank and reached down trying to touch the turtle. Sherman is one mean turtle and I waited to see if he would attack. He just sunk a little lower staying under the cat swats. The can reached in a little farther. When he did he lost balance and plunged headfirst into the tank. He jumped out and ran away as fast as he could. He sat on the pool table licking himself dry. Deciding to move ,he jumped and landed on a stack of books. They slipped and his book perch was moving with him. He slid downwards butt first. Of course he landed in a 2 gallon bucket of water I keave out for the dogs to drink out of. He ran like a shot heading for the utility room. I havn’t seen him for a while. Wheres my kitty?
What no wet kitty pictures?? Poor fuzzbottom.
Awwwww!
I suppose it some consolation to know that kitties have “one of those days” too sometimes!
Poor kitty.
Poor turtle.
Wow! I had a day almost exactly like that! Except without the turtle. Or the bookshelf. Or the water dish. Or the wet fur.
Come to think of it, it wasn’t like that at all – but kitty has my sympathies anyway. He’s probably hiding behind some furniture or an appliance waiting to dry off so he can then emerge and go about his business as if nothing ever happened.
It’s a shame you didn’t catch that on camera. It would have done well in America’s Funniest Home Videos.
Poor kitty, though. I know humans are supposed to wash their hands after touching a turtle because they have some sort of bacteria or something- you might want to further tramatize your kitty and give him a bath before he licks all of the turtle-water off of himself. I don’t know if that affects cats, but it’s better safe than sorry.
Give him a good chin scratching for me.
Although, I appear to have misread. Kitty wasn’t in turtle water, as turtle wasn’t in water. Nevermind that, then.
Also, how traumatized is the turtle? I mean, having a kitten fall on him couldn’t have been a high point in his day.
Poor kitty.
Hehehehehe.
::snicker::
He will, of course, come strolling out with that “I meant to do that” expression.
I love cats. They’re so strange.
Nothing bothers Sherman. He is as mean as a creature can get. I thought he was lining the cat up before it fell in. When I put him on the floor to go for a walk the dogs give him plenty of room. Even Nordberg felt something was not quite right the first time she saw him on the floor Nord is the young beagle. Wild and crazy still…
Oh no. You read just fine. Dad just types with his ham hands.
Boris was splayed over the turtle tank, swatting at Sherman (pictured left;not a good idea. Sherman is the nastiest life form I’ve EVER encountered) and his balance betrayed him…and he plopped in face first. He hopped out, nice and wet with us laughing.
He did that “sit down and lick my paw like NOTHING happened even though I’m dripping fucking wet because there’s water where the turtle’s supposed to be” look. You know that look. Yeah. That look.
Then he plopped ass-first into a bucket of beagle water.
Yeah, good saturday for Boris. Or maybe just us 'cause we got to point and laugh.
Oh yeah. And just for the fun of it. Beagles.
Nordberg right Quincy left.
