Bad songs on good albums

I second that.

How about the title track on Liz Phair’s Whip Smart? That one gets skipped every time.

No, No, you got it all wrong, *The Right Profile * was a good song, it was Train in Vain that ruined London Calling. Why they let Mick Jones place the song on the album in the first place is beyond me. If you burn a copy with Revolution Rock as the last track it’s one of the best albums ever.

Um. Waa?

I love that song, and at the risk of losing what little street cred I have, I admit I also love Annie Lennox’s cover too.

And even then, they didn’t even list the song on the jacket. Joe Strummer thought it was too commercial for the album. In truth, it is. But, as a song, it’s a damn good single and probably should have been released as such.

And, actually, I don’t like The Right Profile either. But at the same time, I don’t skip it when I listen to the album.
