New Badgers animation!! This time Jonti has blessed us with a little tune celebrating England football. (let it loop and keep watching the scoreline, i thought it was quite clever )
Does it end?!?
“Butchy”?
What is it with you guys and badgers? There was that cricket thing…
‘Footy’, short for football, known to Americans as soccer.
Yes, I know. But it doesn’t sound like the badgers are chanting “footy”. If anything, it might be “footchy” - but there’s a definite “B” sound in there.
So, the game played with an oval shaped ball by Americans wearing armor or Europeans in their underwear is “Rugby football”, right?
Every now and then there is a twelfth badger on the pitch, in front of the goalpost. I therefore feel that some of the goals should be disallowed.
I’m sorry, we do not require any odiferous badgers at this time. But thank you for enquiring.
Of all the message boards on all the web, why did you have to walk into mine?
I’m not sure how to interpret the intent of your question. Was it in jest, or not?
It’s a classical reference. I do believe you’ve been flirted with.
Good gad, no. I was trading Bogart quotes. Treasue of the Sierra Madre and Casablanca.
No, no, no.
You were definitely flirting.
Please forgive the misunderstanding, if any… I knew you were trading quotes, but at first I wasn’t sure that you weren’t peeved at me for showing up in this thread to make a bad joke (as is my wont sometimes). Badgers! Who can resist? Not me.
We now return to the thread already in progress.
Never.
Ever.
Not quite, the game played with an oval shaped ball by Americans in armour is referred to here as American football. The sport played, as you out it by “Europeans in their underwear” is rugby football, of one of two types, League or Union. We’ll soon have you americans giving sports their proper names
Still, it’s only just this week that I realised that what americans call a zucchini is actually a courgette :smack:
Anyway, back to the matter in hand, BADGERS! Is it possible that people are imagining the ‘b’ sound due to their conditioned expectations when they hear the badger song?
The link doesn’t work for me.
I want to see the badgers!
It’s the crestfallen look on the face of the snake goalkeeper that does it for me.
AngelicGemma, your browser needs to be able to play Macromedia Flash animations. Download the plug-in, it’s surely worth it.
Wales: Sheep and Dirt???
WTF
Is it just me, or does it seem likely that the guy who made that animation is from England?
