This is the most mundane, pointless thread I’ve ever started. I just checked my mail from yesterday and found a very odd letter. It was a letter from my bank that simply said, “IMPORTANT! WE NEED YOUR NEW MAILING ADDRESS TO UPDATE YOUR ACCOUNTS.”
WTF? It then gives a list of places I can call to update my address. I called the TX number and the lady, after a short pause, told me to send it to Jay Leno. I’m baffled.
Told you it was mundane and pointless. You were warned.
Ag,
The question is, if they didn't have your address, how could they send you a letter asking you to update? Be sure it's from your bank and not some kind of scam .
That’s what made it funny, Lurker. It was from my bank. It came in their envelope and the number I was directed to call was in fact for my bank. There was no scam, but the lady at the call center, as well as myself, were very confused. They did already have my address in their DB, which is why she didn’t know what to do. She told me just to ignore it, as it apparently wasn’t important.
If the bank keeps sending out useless letters then they can use it as a justification to keep raising fees even if they are making record profits.
