Expanding the definition even further

I’m not American. My province in Canada does not have a governor. Perhaps these games might recognize that. I know no American governors, therefore, I cannot participate in this game at this time.

Might I suggest that going forward, topics be selected that are inclusive of all world participants, instead of that of the United States only?

That would eliminate a lot of sports categories. I can tell you anything you want to know about the Indiana Pacers, but I can barely tell you what country Juventus is even in.

Regardless of the subject, there will be people who cannot participate in many, many lists, be it through geographical separation or just lack of interest. I can’t participate in any of the super hero/comic book character lists because I don’t know (or care) about them. And there are lots of them. I haven’t seen anything like that since the old Superman and Batman TV series of the '50s and '60s. But thats ok, because I could probably name more members of the Roman Senate, or list Russian Tsars in order, etc. than anybody else. Those lists would leave out a lot of people.

Also, there are lots of countries besides the U.S. that have governors of states or provinces - Japan, The Phillipines, Mexico, Pakistan, Australia, and many others.

Anywho, back to the game:

  9. Franklin Delano Roosevelt (New York)
  10. John Buchan (Canada, Governor-General)
  11. Anne Hegerty (The Chase)
  12. Miriam “Ma” Ferguson (Texas)

Second woman to be elected a U.S. state governor, and first to be elected twice - 1924 & 1932.

This. Plus, Google is your friend. I can’t speak for others, but my entry in the previous list of Fictional Beverages was the result of a Google search.

Probably best remembered for snatching defeat from the jaws of victory in the 1948 Presidential election.
