Ok here is some free blackberry advice from your friend t-mobileguy.

At times like this I get to pull out one of my favorite comedians to quote from. :smiley:

“I like baked potatoes, man. I don’t have a microwave oven; it takes forever to cook a baked potato in a conventional oven. Sometimes I’ll just throw one in there, even if I don’t want one, because by the time it’s done…who knows? I’ll throw a potato in and go on vacation.”

Did you turn your oven off, or are you still preheating?

[QUOTE=Otto]
Maybe I’m just thick but I seem to be unable to locate an answer to the very simple question of how long to bake a potato. All the website’s I’m looking at assume that one is baking more than one potato. But I’m not; it’s just the one, about the size of a man’s fist. I’m heating the oven to 350 and it’s all wrapped in foil and ready to go in. How long do I bake it?

This has alredy been well answered but you might like this information. Unlike a microwave, the difference in time between baking one potato in a conventional oven and baking ten potatoes in there is small enough to be ignored. I usually figure on one hour at 400 degrees, for potatoes of a certain size, the size I generally have.
