Well thanks for the info everyone, especially you, gabbyhayes. There are still a few unanswered questions though. Cocaine, in street form, as mentioned, is somewhat toxic. Obviously absorbing it through the mucus membranes of the nose, through the tissue of the gums, and through the skin isn’t incredibly harmfull. What about more sensitive tissue, does anyone know what would happen in a cocaine enema? Would it be absorbed faster? Like with alcohol or caffine, or would it be the same as other skin.
And black455 it does do something by rubbing it on gums, just not as much.
WAG but I’m sure absorbtion would be about the same as with nasal membranes. However, before it ever got to the point of doing an enema, consumption would probably already have begun and the initial surge wouldn’t be noticed as if it was the initial bump.
Actually exposing street cocaine to any tissue is highly dangerous to the tissue. The only reason it isn’t noticed unless the user is a chronic sniffer is because our skin regenerates and soft tissue (such as the mucus membranes in the sinus) regenerates really fast.
It brings to mind a fellow I knew who was a coke smoker (freebase not crack) who had holes in his lungs from prolonged use. My uncle had severe nasal problems (his nose pretty much disintegrated) from long term use.
I thing the reason that street coke is to toxic is that the refinin process involves acetone as the main solvent, wheras I’m under the impression that pharmacutical coke uses ether in the refining process.
As for the aforementioned cocaine enema, it would probably have a pretty strong relative effect but take longer to absorb than if it were inhaled. I know they used to use rectal forms of administration for other drugs in medecine and even heard of rectal feeding.
If you really want a boos, try mixing your cocaine with DMSO and spreading it on your underarms. It works great with LSD and I’m sure it would work just as well with cocaine.
