Nah, the Howard Hughes hoax by Clifford Irving was the best hoax as far as I’m concerned – multiple books, even films about it. This balloon boy crap will be a blip in the annals of hoaxes. It was done and blown apart within 48 hours. The Hughes hoax lasted for years.
