Baltimore restaurant suggestions. I'm taking mom out for her B-day

That’s about it. we like good food, seafood or Italian would be nice, but not necessary. Not a big fan of Indian or Middle Eastern. Something above average. anyone have any good suggestions?

If you like sushi, I’d recommend the Kawasaki Inn in Fells Point.

My mom’s very favoritest place in Baltimore is Tio Pepe - in fact, we’re taking her there as her Christmas present. Beyond that, I’m temporarily drawing a blank, and I spent a big chunk of my life in Baltimore… How sad is that?

There’s a Little Italy section to the east of the Inner Harbor, just across the Pratt St.-Jones Falls Expressway interchange. My brother had the rehearsal dinner for his wedding at Sabatino’s there, and it was fantastic.

Phillips Seafood is a nice place right on the Inner Harbor.

i tried to make reservations but they only had 8:30 available:( we decided on a restaurant named Chiapparelli’s. i hope it’s good. thanks everyone for the suggestions though.

Mount Vernon Stable has good food.

Darn it! Too late!

Though I haven’t been there in years, I suggest Rusty Scupper which you can see from the harbor. It’s a bit pricey so you may wish to check things out on the website here.

You can spend some time taking in Fort McHenry or the Inner Harbor and finish with some fine dining at one of the Best of Bal’mer.

Second Tio Pepe and Phillips (for your next trip). I’ll add Black Olive on S. Bond Street.

Moving thread from IMHO to Cafe Society.

I hosted an anniversary party for my in-laws at Pisces, at the Hyatt in Baltimore. (http://www.opentable.com/rest_profile.aspx?rid=1550)

Lovely seafood, interesting menu, wonderful atmosphere, and superb service. Very nice view of the Inner Harbor, from almost any table.

Is the Women’s Industrial Exchange still there? If so, is it still the same waitresses?

Germano’s for dinner (In Little Italy), and Vaccaro’s for dessert. Believe me, you do NOT want to miss Vaccaro’s.

Too late except for next time, maybe, but next time try Amici’s down in Little Italy. If seafood AND Italian is your preference, their shrimp in a white sauce appetizer, served in a big bread bowl, is fantastic.

Panne Rotundo, IIRC.
