Many years ago, a friend of mine wondered if a new age-y artist he liked had any CD’s he hadn’t found yet. He asked a record store employee. The employee asked if he had her older CDs, and my friend said yes.

The employee then said, “A lot of people can’t find her early work, because they don’t know about the sex change.”

“Sex change?”

“Oh, when you said you had her older CDs, I thought you knew. She recorded several CDs under the name [can’t remember]. Then she got a sex change, and started recording under her new name.”
