"Bandit" Bo Darville had 28 hours, he could have made the first leg in 28 minutes!

As a fan of the movie Smokey and the Bandit and as a recent transplant to NE Texas, I just found a loophole that the Burdette’s didn’t think of. Bandit and Snowman could have used this route.

Saves me a lot of time and gas. I was going to use my leave to do what they say can’t be done with 4 cases of Coors.

They could have Mercatored their way to their destination?

Maybe mapquest it?

Your link just goes to a blank map of the US. You have to go to the “link to this page” button in googlemaps to…umm…link to that page.

Oops, try this link

Heck, they coulda got the beer to Paris in under two hours. Screw the Concorde.

“Frank’s fine with that.”
I’m fine with that.

And the double-or-nothing mentions neither amount nor method of delivery, so they could just drive to an airport, fly to Boston, pick up a couple cans of chowder, and fly back.

Hijack. That reminds me of the end of Bandit, he is going to Boston and back to Atlanta in 18 hours. Is that really possible? How far is Boston from Atlanta 1000 or so miles. Round trip 2000 miles in 18 hours, that is average of 111 MPH!

Lute covered that in the previous post. I twould serve Big Enis right if they did just what he (Lute)suggested.
