Guns 'N Roses.
Sorry, they are NOT the reincarnation of Led Zeppelin, and Slash is not fit to carry Angus Young’s luggage.

They’re one of the few emo bands that have appeared multiple times in the Orlando area that I just haven’t seen, only partly because of the fans. Mainly cause I can’t be arsed and their music is somewhat generic.
But then, a couple weeks before their concerts I try to get tickets anyway, in case they have a nice opening band I can discover. But their concerts are always sold out at that point. Of all the bands of that genre to sell out their concerts, I wouldn’t pick Fall Out Boy.
I know next to nothing of the work of John Prine, but I have harbored a visceral lothing for him ever since encountering a JOHN PRINE LIVE T-shirt, several sizes too small and coated with an even layer of dirt, on an obese and poorly socialized used-record dealer in a New Jersey motel parking lot about 15 years ago.
Curt Cobain/Nirvana fans.
I liked some of his music and he seemed like a simple but troubled guy. But the fans that put him up on such a pedestal, act like he was the second coming of christ, and think grunge was invented by them and sounded different than anything else previously in the history of music can suck eggs.
I never hated them or their music but certainly never considered them groundbreaking in any way the fans did.
I would like to make it clear than any fanatical behavior bothers me to no end. Therefore, I Second: The Grateful Dead, DMB, Phish, BEATLES (maybe the worst kind of fan), Rush. And here is some more food for thought: Nirvana, Madonna, Metallica, Michael Jackson, Cristianity, Soccer (or any other sport), Steve Jobs (anybody want to argue he isn’t a celebrity at this point?), and I could go on forever.
Just wanted to vent some of my many years of frustration.
Sorry I forgot: Britney Spears fans. I don’t know if I spelled her name right (and I honestly couldn’t care)
Rush. They’re the definition of a “meh” band, but their fans make them sound like their are the gods of progressive rock (which does not describe their sound in the slightest).
King Diamond, Marylin Manson, Slipknot, and pretty much every other “scary” rocker group out there. I actually like King Diamond and Slipknot… no way in hell I would ever go to a concert. Those people are just insane at the live shows.
I also want to second ICP fans, never met a normal one.
Deathclock. Their fans are just cattle being slaughtered, and whenever Deathclock plays they destroy the local environment like a plague of locusts.
Why am I not surprised that DMB was the first band mentioned? I like the music (both with the band and Dave’s solo stuff) but the fanbase is scary.
You mean Dethklok?
