Sleater-Kinney were from Olympia, not next door Lacey were said street is.

I thought of them as well, believe it or not. While their real location is nowhere near the Keywork, they’re also not from the several real Cambrias located around the world.

Earth, Wind, & Fire are actually from Neptune.

I think the Dukes of the Stratosphear are just ordinary Joes from Swindon.

Technically most of the founding members of Boston weren’t from that city. They were students from other places who were attending college in Boston when they formed the band.

Steppenwolf didn’t come from the steppes; they came from Toronto and L.A.

The Asteroids Galaxy Tour isn’t from an asteroid or another galaxy.

John Kay originally came from what was then Tilsit, East Prussia (now Sovetsk, Russia), so it wasn’t all that far off.

Kaliningrad is not steppe, and sandwiched between Lithuania and Poland on the Baltic coast, it’s a *long *way off from the steppes, comparable to the difference between say Delaware and Nebraska.

And, technically, MIT isn’t even within the City of Boston.

They should have called the band and album The Boston Metropolitan Statistical Area.

Though with a name like that, they’d have to be jazz or post-punk or something, I guess.

If you think that Okkervil River have fairly spot on accents for a bunch of Leningrad natives, think again: they are from Austin.
