I have used a credit union since 1984 and have never had any of these problems. In fact once I realized that I had added incorrectly and had overdrawn my account $50. I went to my credit union explained that I had made an error. They put $75 of their money into my account to cover my error. When I got paid I went in and had them take their “loan” back out of my account. I’ve never heard of a bank that would do that for you.
