Question: Would it be technically feasible for the users to set something in their profile so that no matter what font a post was submitted in, it would appear on your screen in the font and style you want? Suppose I had bad eyes and wanted everything to show up in 18 point bold font, even if the user had submitted something in tiny font? That way we could all post in whatever font we so desired, and those users who didn’t want to see it could see it in whatever they wanted.

I have a greasemonkey script installed where I can have certain poster’s posts read to me in a particular actor’s voice*. I set the late lamented Brad Watson, Miami’s posts to be read to me by Gilbert Gottfried. That made him make much more sense.

*OK, not really, but I sure wish I did.

A word, please? The different sized fonts and the various colors aren’t really helping you here. Conversing with others on the message board is not the same as standing on a street corner holding a large cardboard sign. Nobody here is attracted by or impressed by how a post looks-they are impressed by what a post says.

btw, his fonts were getting larger! In direct proportion to the wackiness of his posts.

I also take advantage of the other features of this forum. If you don’t like my style of writing, then don’t read it and don’t waste everyone’s times with your complaints about fonts, sizes, colors, smiles, etc.

If anyone’s interested, I have a Greasemonkey script that lets you assign colours, fonts and sizes to different posters.

I’m interested. I tend to forget who’s a complete moron and who’s an usually interesting poster, and this would help.
