Banzai. One queston lady. Is that music what I think it is?

The music that played while one question lady did her shtick sounds an awfull lot like a musical version of War of the Worlds I used to have as a kid. I think it’s from the late seventies/early eighties but it’s so far from memory I can’t be sure.

Any help from fellow Dopers would be greatly appreciated.

Many Thanks,
Lonelocust

Not to hijack, but I too have a question about Banzai. DUring the segment where you have to find the woman with the red underwear, am I the only one who got it wrong? I kick ass at these types of games and found this one to be fairly easy, until I found out I was wrong. Did Banzai pull a fast one on us, or was it legit?

It was totally changed. I watched their hairstyles, which were all different, and the red underwear changed quite noticeably from the girl with the lopsided, slightly pointy buns on the side of her head to the one with the rounded, very well kept hair. I taped it and was going to watch it in slow motion to make sure, but then I realized I don’t care that much.

I also agree that the panties were switched. They played us, dude.

We got punked.

I’m guessing they fooled us because I could have sworn it was the woman in the middle that would end up being the red underweared woman.

Ok, thanks guys. And Rabid, I had also guess the middle.

Has Banzai just arrived on American television?

Yes, it premiered last Sunday night.

I was amused by the one-question lady. I should try that on someone.

I am also good at shell games(BTW-If you like fast paced minigames and puzzles I reccomend the Sega Genesis title Puzzle And Action. I don’t know it was ever released in English. But, of all the minigames, only 1 requires any knowledge of Japanese[I always lose that one :frowning: ])… I also picked the woman in the middle.

Hmmm…

BTW-I found it interesting that they used white panties as the Western color of purity. IIRC in traditional Japanese culture, white is the color of death and mourning.

Soooo....the white panties are a sign that the virgins are mourning. Adds a whole new twist, doesn't it.

Yeah, they hosed us. I was watching the right eyebrows and the woman in the middle was the correct one.

So, is that show just like every real Japanese gameshow or is it nothing like any real Japanese gameshow? My viewing experience is with Korean gameshows, which are considerably duller.
