Bargain priced toys

I went to a toy shop recently because I wanted to see if they had the Lego Simpsons house (though I’m not planning on buying it - but I do have the full set of 16 Lego Simpsons figures)

Many of their toys were on sale and they bundled up some of those toys into $20 bags…

I got a bag for girls and one for boys…

Girls bag:
$10 (was $57.56) One Direction Zip-Me and girl doll
$4 (was $24.99) Squinkies Gumball Surprize! Playset
$4 (was $19.99) Squinkies - 16 Squinkies
? Littlest Petshop - Pets on the go
? Littlest Petshop - Walkables
$9.99 - Style Me Up! - Glittler Powder Tattoos
$3 (was $19.98) - ZhuZhu Pets - Stylin Outfit, Zhu Zhu Babies
$1 (was $2.99) 10 Scary Nails

Boys bag:
$4 (was $6.99) - Rad flyer flying disc
$4 (was $12.99) - Silly Shotz rocket launch
$2 (was $16.99) - Mighty Beanz collector case
$9.99 (was ?) - Mighty Beanz collectors tin
$1 (was $4.99) - Smurfs Micro Village
$4 (was $14.99) - Pop! Ugly Doll
$6.99 (was $12.99) - Scooby-Doo! Goo Crew
$4 (was $7.99) - Billion Bubbles Bucket

It also included 3 clear Lego bags - I think they’re from a Christmas advent calendar and I kept them.

The bags will be for birthdays. It’s odd that I can’t share the gift giving with others but oh well. I thought it might seem to be too big of a present. I was made to remove the price stickers - but I wanted them to stay so they can see that we didn’t spend too much.

My point is this: I got some good bargains!

I know people that turn around and resell on EBay.

Are you a collector, or will you resell these? (or play with them?)

I presume you’re giving these as presents to kids (nieces, nephews)? In which case I wouldn’t worry too much. In my experience, when it comes to presents, kids are more interested in quantity than cost, and it’s generally considered bad form to leave the price stickers on gifts – mind you, I’ve been known to “accidentally” forget when I’ve bought a particularly generous gift for my girlfriend

You can explain to their parents that you haven’t gone overboard with the cost.

Like I said they’re for presents.

Yes and they’ll be 5 and 7 soon.

My brother has a boy and a girl, four years apart. When they were little, they were showered with gifts at birthdays and Christmas from various relatives, to the point that some toys were ignored or neglected. So I’d recommend giving the toys over time, or perhaps not at a major gift-giving occasion.

Since there’s so many different toys they’d probably like at least one or two of them or more - that’s better odds than if I was like other people who only gave them one or two toys altogether. And it’s only $20.
