I know we have a lot of baseball fans here, so one of you might know this.
When a pitcher’s pitchcount is show, it usually says something like 107 pitches, 77 strikes, 30 balls, or something similar. How are batted balls counted in this? Also, how are 2 srike foul balls counted in this?
I tried looking at a couple of websites devoted to baseball scoring, but couldn’t find the answer. Thanks in advance.
Any ball that the batter makes contact with is assumed to be a strike. If it wasn’t, he wouldn’t have swung at it, right?
Damn Flymaster, that was quick. So much for wasting some time waiting for a reply.
Thanks.
