I’m not a big basetball fan but I was watching the final four today as I do occationally in the spring and noticed again that mpst of the players are all white.
Why is it that in college basketball in the USA most players are white yet in the NBA there are almost 90% black players?
Where did all the white players go?
And where did all the black players come from?
Please feel free to email me.

The only stupid question is the one YOU do not ask !!
To elaborate, there are a lot of college teams that need a lot of players. You don’t have to be really good to play college. That is how the white population is so large in college. The star players in college are usually black though, if you’ll notice. There are only like 29 NBA teams that need the star players from college. This is where all the black players come from. The whites in college are usually role players or they don’t have a lot of all around talent. Good enough for college, but not pros.
Off-topic question for youse guys…
(for those of you who don’t know, the use of the non-word “youse” was a joke…playing off the fact that I live in new jersey and have been laughing my ass off at some weird accents I heard today)
How come it’s not considered racist to ask “Why do white guys suck at basketball” or even to say “there are more white guys in college basketball because it doesn’t take as much talent as the NBA”???
What would be the reaction if somebody came on here and said something equally bigoted like “why do black people suck at math?” or “why can’t black people learn how to spell?”
Double standards infuriate me.
Don’t misunderstand…I’m not complaining about the OP. That’s a question based in fact. There DO seem to be more black players than white in the NBA. But the answer??? Why is it taboo to say there are any differences in performance or abilities between races, except when it’s in favor of the legally protected minorities? It’s ok to joke about how “white people can’t dance” or “white people can’t box” but I’ve seen people get rabid and beat other people up for saying something like “black people just don’t make good engineers.” (which is a completely untrue statement)
I’m not pissed at the idea of saying that there are differences between races…there are. But they are not as pronounced as people make it out to be. And I think the differences that do exist are more cultural than physical or genetic.
