I’ve noticed that my kitchen fan (the one over the stove) is a lot quieter than a fan of equal size in the master bathroom. Is this intentional? Are bathroom fans made to be loud enough to cover “embarassing sounds”?
I think it’s just the quality of the fan. You probably have a cheap one in your bathroom.
In our house it’s the opposite. The bathroom fan is almost inaudible, but the stove fan makes a racket.
Yeah, bathroom, my favorite room in the house. Whats your point?
I’m with Ursa on this one. Mine sounds like an Apache attack helicopter. They’re made to mask the delicate sounds of too many deviled eggs and beer. A secondary purpose of the high fan rpm is to vent as much of that poison vapor into the ozone layer as quick as possible to speed up the global warming/greenhouse effect. As some of my friends would say, “Sounds like a herd of butterflies coming out your ass.”
