Great post, and I picked up little pieces here and there along the internet of most of what you’re saying here, and it’s nice to get all of it in one concise post.

One thing I couldn’t find is MidiMagic’s claiming it is in some PS article. There may be some PS article about it in the thirties, but just don’t think they would worded it like that without further clarification.
