Since South Park also won a Peabody (http://www.usatoday.com/life/television/news/2006-04-05-peabody-awards_x.htm) I assume it has something to do with that.
Damn. I was hoping this was a “BSG characters as drawn in the South Park style” thing, similar to the “BSG characters drawn in the Simpsons style” from a month or so back. (Some vague S2 spoilers in that link.)
