Bayshore Town Center. No thanks!!!

In THIS thread I refer to a situation that happened at Bayshore Town Center in Glendale in Milwaukee County, Wisconsin.

As some of you know the “mall” thing has jumped the shark in the last 10 years. The new in seems to be a combo of a mall and a plaza. Bayshore is the first such in this area.

Yesterday my wife & I were returning from Green Bay, where we spent a very pleasant few days at Tundra Lodge. We were on I-43 which goes past Bayshore. My wife insisted we drive through and give it a curb side look.

:eek:UGH! What a freaking monstrosity. The place has an extremely artificial feel. It looks & feels like a Hollywood set. I felt like I was driving on a scene for a movie that takes place in a downtown area. Skinny little streets, clustered buildings. Very fake looking.

Over the years the developers, engineers, big business and politicians have wrecked downtown Americana. And this is what they replaced it with? A phony version of what they spent decades destroying? No thank you.

We did not park and shop.

Sounds kind of like the Streets of Woodfield or Deer Park Town Center.

They call 'em Lifestyle Centers.

And hoo-boy do I agree with you, pk.
