BBQ Chicken

Beercan chicken is a great way to go.

Just be sure to learn from my failed experience in the past and follow D_B’s directions to only leave 1/3 of the beer in the can, or even 1/4. When I first started making beercan chicken, I thought hey, if a little beer is good, more is better! So I’d leave the can 1/2 full or even 2/3 full. But what happened was all that much beer in the can didn’t get hot enough to steam the inside of the chicken. So, a little beer goes a long way, and will provide plenty of steam.

D_B’s post got me thinking I haven’t made beercan chicken in awhile, so I made it yesterday.

Wasn’t quite fall-off-the-bone, since the grill ran a little hotter than I meant it to, so not as low and slow as I would have liked, but it was still very tender, juicy and delicious.

I served it with steamed broccoli and fondant potatoes :yum:
