A few years ago someone posted the recipe for their BBQ pork. I used that as the basis for my BBQ. I changed a few ingredients, I use no salt and I use less vinegar but add pineapple juice for a sweeter bite to the sauce. I just placed an 8 pound pork shoulder in the over for step one of my BBQ. It will roast for about 3 hours at 225 degrees then will be smoked for a couple more hours on the grill. This is all for my older brother’s 50th birthday party tonight. The rolls are going to be made fresh today and will be baked with freshly chopped Walla Walla sweet onions on top. My wife will be making a baked potato salad for the side.
I would like to invite everyone over to try some but my brother’s house is kind of small and his wife is freakish about folks in her house that she does not know. I will think of everyone tonight while enjoying my samwich. My wife even calls it my Straight Dope BBQ. If I have made anyone hungry it was intentional.
