jjim, by that logic it could be me.
But, uh, it’s probably Reagan.
Not evil! Definitely not me, no sir…

The quote is changed, as I have been informed that :fanny" has a different meaning in the UK than here in the States. Here, it simply means one’s behind.

But it’s so big and colorful and gross and it’s tacked onto every one of your posts. I know a thing or two about being obnoxious and it’s still kinda obnoxious.

photopat, biblical scholars like the OP just seem to know these things, you know? They pray a lot and God tells them stuff like that—He never seems to tell them anything useful, just stuff that they can inflict on the rest of us and feel smug about. My ex-father in law was / is one of these guys who absolutely knows what God has in store for us, in spite of the fact that spelling the word “God” is a stretch for him. How does he know? Why, God told him, of course. I wish God would tell him what a horse’s ass he (and the OP) is / are.
Oh, dear, I forgot we were in Great Debates. I regret having broken the rule against personal insults and I swear it won’t happen again.
ephraim, your interpretation requires 'way too many semantic leaps and convoluted twists of logic to be correct. The “traditional” interpretation has the advantage of internal consistency with the rest of the canon, and is stylistically too similar to many other apocalyptic writings of the time to discount.
Without appeal to any other authority than your own prophetic and interpretation skills, you fail to convince people who read the Bible, and merely amuse those who don’t.
I’m very much tempted to provoke on myself a “revelation” explaining those same Bible texts.
I must go now to my secret cave in order to provoke it.
Of course for the OP my revelation shall be nothing else then inspired by satan. What else can be expected to come to/from a Muslim.
One question to the OP:
Do we ever meet in heaven or is that out of reach.
Salaam. A
Hold on a minute. On what basis do you assert that there are prophecies in the bible, as opposed to merely wishful thinking?
And a lonely wind blows through the abandoned topic. Oh, Ephraim, we hardly knew ye.
That’s strange…that always happens when they’re exposed to logic and doubt…you’d think it was a design flaw or something.
If we do meet in heaven it will just be in passing. Muslims have no place in heaven, nor do any other non- Christians. It’s a story you must have heard before. Continued denial of Jesus will sentence you to death. Jesus is God, and has always been God. Satan is sentenced to death and since he is going to die he wants to take as many with him as he can. The Watchman of Ephraim
Jesus would weep at what you have just said, ephraim.
It’s strange really; I’m sure most raving fundists inwardly rationalise their rants as ‘proclaiming the truth so that all may be saved’, but it just comes across as nothing more than ‘I believe you’re going to burn and I’m going to enjoy watching’.
Well, my question was actually intended to ask you if you thought you are on your way to possibly enter heaven.
Only God knows what is in people’s heart, but as far as I can see, what is in yours is at the very least
**1. distorted ** because
a) you worship a human declaring him to be God
b) you even go so far as claiming that your way to worship that human excludes every other way of worshipping that human to be the right one to worship that human. This makes you even holding a distorted view on the distortion named Christianity which you claim to adhere.
2. arrogant because
a) see point 1.
b) you claim you can decide in God’s place about who shall enter heaven.
c) you claim to know everything about God and the religions He instated.
3.blasphemous because
a) see point 1 and 2.
b) you worship a human and claim he is God.
c) you claim God acts as a revenging lunatic instead of the being Most Merciful
d) you you claim to know when I shall die or why, while only God knows.
e) by doing all of this, you declare yourself to be God. Or even better then God.

Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?
Great. Now we’ve got the Hellbound and the Blasphemer going at each other.
Well, I can only say that a poster like this one asks for the setting up of an amusing little battle.
I would like it very much to have some Christians entering the scene to ask him where in hell they would end up.
Most certainly not in the same place as I’m going… I think.
The OP surely must have left some sense of distintion between Christians-but-alas-not-from-my-sect and Satanic Muslims , don’t you think?
Salaam. A
Yes, I suppose it would be “amusing” to ask him where he thinks I would end up. But I suspect I already know the answer, and frankly his opinion doesn’t interest me.
Nothing we say will change his heart, and I think we’ve already plumbed the depths of his knowledge of scripture and logic. So, as the man said, everything else is just commentary.
But since we are now both sure as hell that we are going to end up in hell, can’t we organize a hellish party?
