Beatles-fans help me out.

“Rainy Day Sun” by Spinal Tap, off of “Break Like the Wind.”

The opening to “Laura” by Billy Joel, from “The Nylon Curtain” (his most Beatles-influenced album). Not a well-known song. If not for the fact that it’s digitally recorded in stereo in 1981, it might pass.

It was the first word in the phrase, “Klaatu barada nikto,” the words that would stop the robot Gort in the movie, The Day the Earth Stood Still.

And the Philly DJ is Andre Gardner, a certified Beatles freak who is absolutely awesome.

Electric Light Orchestra was often compared to the Beatles, and if you listen to their early, more experimental work, sometimes you can hardly tell the difference.

For instance, listen to the album Eldorado. “Boy Blue” has a very Beatle-esque opening. “Poor Boy” has a section in it that I could swear has George Harrison on lead vocals (and it’s possible - he’s not credited on the album, but he was good friends with Jeff Lynne, and they were hanging out a lot when the album was made).

The Beach Boys have a song that was an homage to the Beatles, but I can’t remember which one it was right now. The intro sounds vaguely like “I Want to Hold Your Hand”.

Pretty much everything by the band Beatallica. My personal favorite tracks are “The Thing That Should Not Let it Be”, “Everybody’s Got A Ticket to Ride Except for Me and My Lightning”, “Got to Get You Trapped Under Ice”, and “I Want to Choke Your Band”.
