Glad that everyone got some sweetness at that connection. And, Boyo, I wondered how far Kwibi’s thoughts would go there as well. Really. I don’t anthromorph my thoughts towards critters, and know that Aspinall has had good experience there as well, but, yikes and crap, I just can’t imagine the very real heartache for him leaving Kwibi in the wild after that.
I’ve done some time working in wildlife rehabilitation, but with creatures that don’t form a bond with you beyond babyhood, ideally. It’s a bittersweet experience, to release a being you’ve worked and cared for out into their true life in the wild. But, that’s where they should be, with their mates who can give them everything they need. Safe and warm is easy, but, well, maybe not so peasy.
