Count me in, too. As I said in the other thread about this very woman, I find it very hard to believe that she could think it was okay to leave two very small kids in a car for three hours while she got her hair done.

It is the worst thing you could call a woman, and yes she does deserve it, but if someone were talking about a black murderer no one (well, except JET) would even think about using the word n****r. To some women it’s the same thing.

And while you may have assumed that I tacitly approved of it because I didn’t call the posters who DID to task, I can assure you that there are no circumstances under which I would seek the death penalty. Look, I am of the opinion that NORMAL people do not do wicked things (like gratuitiously kill people). Thus I reckon that their ABnormality generally comes under two categories…mental illness, or mental incapacity. Sometimes the two are combined. I know this viewpoint is not necessarily shared by the rest of the population, but I don’t think it’s helpful to condemn people for doing something ‘evil’ when they don’t truly understand the nature of their actions. (I’m not talking professional killings or crimes of passion here.)

I wouldn’t have a problem calling her the “n-word.” It’s an incredibly offensive word, and she deserves it. Not that I care one whit about her race, just that I don’t feel any need to be “sensitive” toward a woman who fucking baked her children. Even the most offensive slurs in the English language are too soft for such people.
Let’s add to the list of her crimes the fact that by making up a story of being abducted and raped she just makes it harder for all of the women in the world who ARE abducted and raped and not believed.

Talking to a few women I got the impression most beauty salons let you bring infants & toddlers while doing your hair. The salon in question said she could bring in her kids, she didn’t because they were being punished.
Gee, I dunno… someone who lets her two children die a horrible, agonizing death… someone who had previously abandonned another child… someone who lied about the whole thing … I think that there aren’t any words that are “too harsh” here.

This is just a minor hijack, but I’m afraid I don’t follow the reasoning here. The reason it’s offensive is that it means nothing more than “person with black skin,” and carries a whole lot of baggage related to people with black skin being treated as less than full citizens. Using it would really say nothing about her, and everything about the person using it.
This woman deserves to be condemned, and punished to the fullest extent of the law, but calling her a nigger? Um, no. We just don’t need to go down that road.

Um, at least in my state, involuntary manslaughter is negligent homicide. Voluntary manslaughter is when you kill someone in a fit of passion, which doesn’t fit this case. If it’s not murder, it’s involuntary manslaughter, which is still a serious crime.
