Because if I wait, i'll forget - the MMP

I think what **Bobbio **was trying to say is that we wouldn’t resist the joke and would post what we thought.

The MMP is rife with bad puns…

Yesterday, it rained all day - restful, soft, and grey. Loved it. I did not accomplish much other than rest. I did finish Wicked: the Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West, and . . . it was nowhere near as good as I’d hoped. sigh Oh, well.

Today dawned beautiful, sunny and blue skies with white puffy Battlestar Galactica clouds (why BSG? Because I grew up on the original series, and now when I see an armada of clouds near the horizon, I always think of the Galactica fleet).

Mom’s driving a rental car while hers is in the shop, and she got a convertible! She’s very excited about this. Currently, she’s taking Dad for a drive. While they’re out, I have cleaned the kitchen (so much easier to do when Dad is not looking over my shoulder telling me that I’m washing dishes incorrectly), and now I’m about to get to work on my room, and MY MUSIC is blasting so I can dance and sing along. First up on the playlist: David Bowie’s “Heroes”.

Taters nails it…

Howdy Y’all! We deheathenated and **N.O.L.**ed. I’ve also had a nappy poo and am in the process of doin’ laundry. How do I keep up this hectic pace!

Sounds like a really nice time you’re having phouka! Must be nice to have rest and relaxation after such a stressful time. Nice to hear that you’re making the most of it.

It is a positively balmy 54° outside but I’m tempted to light a fire. Two of the 3 dogs are shivering and it’s totally pathetic.

Hmm…what to do?
Well, first I have to go to Rite Aid for drugs and then to the grocery for cheese and bread. The pups will have to shiver at least until I get back.

**mmmmmm **- I bought a couple of pork loins this week and cut them into chops and roasts. Apart from the roast that’s rotissing right now, everything else is vacuum-sealed and tucked away in the freezer. I got a Food Saver cheap from a coworker, and I love it! So anyway - POKE!!!

**Woody **- just ignore **BBBobbio **- the rest of us mostly do. :stuck_out_tongue: (I probably shouldn’t say stuff like that since he knows where I live and can get here in 30 minutes or less - kinda like a bad pizza delivery… :stuck_out_tongue: )

Yes, I’ve got a poke roast rotissing away and it smells yummerrific. Sides will be italian green beans and N.O.T. tots and some pineapple slices. Sounds healthy, don’t it? No dessert tho. :frowning: Guess I shoulda baked…

You don’t bake ice cream**, FCM.** Just sayin…

I was going to point out that “slutty pink coloured toenails” and “feels… like myself” may not be the best combination of phrases.

Well, if you said those phrases, Woody, we’d probably be a little concerned, but **mmmmmmmmmm **can get away with it. **swampy **probably could, too.

Early supper was good. **Taters **- you never heard of baked alaska??? :stuck_out_tongue: Actually, I’m in the mood for brownies. I just don’t feel like making any.

Off to knit the evening away. Who’s starting us off tomorrow? If it’s not started by the time I get here, I’ll come up with something. After all, it’s not like we need a topic or anything.

I bought poke on sale here too. I got two tenderloins for $3.99 each, and a pork roast for $5. I was watching food network, and they made a glaze for turkey that sounded perfect for poke roast. Orange juice concentrate, cranberry juice concentrate, and orange marmalade. Yum!

But tonight I have baby back ribs in the oven, and cole slaw is made and in the fridge.

I got 40 pounds of bananas I need to separate, but I’m resting after grocery shopping, putting them away, and putting the ribs in the oven, and baking a pan of gingerbread. Damn it smells good in here! Bananas are for the distribution for the homeless tonight. Yesterday I packaged 2000 Q-tips into 10 piece packages.

Catch y’all tomorrow!

The Terrible Iggy Dammit has a sweater!!! Hehehehehehehe! That’ll teach him not to sit on my lap and shiver!

He started asserting his manliness as soon as I put it on him. It has a hood! LOL!! He doesn’t like the hood. Actually, I don’t think he likes the sweater either. :D:D:D

Let me tell you.

I danced around. Haven’t done that in . . . months? And I sang at the top of my lungs.

When Mom stopped by to say they hadn’t actually gone on their scenic drive but had just had breakfast and gassed up and she needed to pick something up, I decreed that from now on, she was to take Dad out every Sunday morning for a minimum of two hours so that I could a) get some shit done and b) have fun doing it.

She took a look around at all I accomplished, nodded, and said it was a plan.

I’m off to vacuum next!

I knew it! I! KNEW! IT!!!

:stuck_out_tongue:

Oh puh-leeze! Everybody knows that if I paint my toenails it’s always candy apple red.

I’m sorry, did you say something?

You’re a smart-ass. I like that in a person…
In much sadder news, I just sent the fax to the mortgage company asking that the VunderLair go to deed-in-lieu.

Mine are painted ultraviolet and fleshtone.

What does that mean?

Shoulda gone with your gut Lancia It totally is the best combo. Really. I may or may not have been a little slutty in my youth but I am a good married lady now  Plus it was mr ems who decreed them so :D. Last time I went it was bright red with sparklies aka ruby slippers so swampy and I could match

fcm we have a freezer full of steaks and ground beef and chicken parts incl chicken boobs and thanks to the wonder that is the vacuum Food Saver we are set for a few months. Sirloin steaks were cheaper than chuck roast at Sam’s today so we will be having sirloin in my famous beef stew next weekend.

congo awww that is an embarassed puppy right there.
