My wife would keep forgetting to leave the front washer door open, so I put a sign on it. They don’t smell if you leave the door open.
Also clean it with Affresh every few months. When I first heard about this, I thought, clean a washing machine? Don’t they clean themselves? No, it turns out they don’t. Affresh is good stuff.
If you wedge that rag tightly against the hinge, neither cat will pull it out. Seriously, the door has to stay open to let every single water molecule evaporate. Internal mold is bad, bad, bad news.
Hm, wouldn’t Brother Bear also have to push the door closed before touching the screen? Is that even possible? The door to my front loader takes quite a bit of force to close.
Haven’t you heard? Bear is a genius among cats. And smarter than most people, including me.
I’m not seriously worried about him washing her. Meeko does like to get in small spaces, tho. When I open the dryer their noses are right there. Trying to get in before I can get all the clothing out. I end up leaving a towel in there for them to lay on in there. When the warmth subsides they get back on top and I dry more or shut the door.
At this moment they’re hollering cause it’s cold. I could placate them with a dryer full. But, I have nothing washed, coz my effing washer is broken.
Hey, wait! My comforter needs fluffing up.
BRB:)
Beck do you have a Maytag Bravo’s? High efficiency?
My cousins wife had a lot of trouble with hers. Similar to what you described. She finally bought something else.
Sadly, I bought the same Maytag from Lowes before learning about my cousins experience.
The bleach dispenser messed up several of my jeans. I have to fill my laundry sink to safely bleach any laundry, rinse well and then put in my fancy Maytag.
Oh, no, you are doing it wrong. By the time I am done I know all about Joshua’s partner’s acting “career” and Judy’s new grandbaby and Rosie’s lumbago. . .
Ace, call them. Then call them again. If you still don’t get any help look up the CEO’s name online and send him an e-mail. All he’s going to do is forward it down to Support and ask them to take care of it; when it comes from him, they will.
Not sure its Sears honoring it. I called the warranty peeps. They put a repairman in touch with us. He was not in a Sears van.
First thing he said was “I didn’t know people lived this far out in the woods”
Well, yes, smart in getting the warranty, but dumb in letting your ‘want’ for something pretty overide the need for getting something that actually worked.
No explaining ‘wanting’ something, like that. I knew it was frivolous and silly. I think men who buy sportscars in their 60s is silly as well.
The heart wants what the heart wants.
Just so happen ‘shiny red’ appliances do it for me.
Ahhh, shucks yall. I’m just a simple guy who wants simple things, sit around and watch the pretty girls, have a cup of joe, maybe make a few hamburgers or waffles from scratch now and then…yanno the simple happy stuff. Don’t need no appliance that’s smarter than my phone muckin that up. You sure I’m part of a triplet separated at birth?
DIL took some towels I needed washed and put them in her washer and sent them back to me by Son-of-a-wrek. The cat’s are happy the dryer is running again. Purring so loud I can hear it over the dryer noise.
See, this is why my laundry is never done. Cats:smack:!!!
:)Kitties are being good tonight. Even without the dryer running. I went and got the towels out and they weren’t in there anymore. They are on the stairs 3rd and 4th steps.
I asked them if they wanted treats. They just blinkie eyed me. I’m afraid of what I’ll find when I go up to bed.
I have a Maytag Neptune frontloader in boring white. It’s of a respectable age and holding up nicely.
If ut dies in the next week, I expect every single Doper to make a generous donation to my GoFundMe page.
The door latch is a squared-off “U” shaped loop protruding from the inner door. PERFECT for holf
Ding a hanger to keep the door from closing tightly. Funny thing: when we have the house winterized by a guy we know, he ALWAYS takes the hanger off the loop and closes the washer door securely.
