I’ve sort of been waiting for this story to break on the SDMB for a day or so, but no go.
So, y’all might want to check this shit out:

Look, dude could be guilty as FUCK, but the flying tackle and chokehold-fu are not what working LP is about. I’m trying real hard to be open-minded about this, but I just can’t make it through the video without wishing I was there to plant a well-aimed steel-toe in either of those power-tripping amateur’s shriveled nutsacks.

I think everyone has better things to be annoyed about.

Reading the article, I have little sympathy for the thieves, and if they got a little roughed up while being taken down - I don’t really care.

From the article it looks like a repeat thief was being caught again and took off.

A rent a cop actually bothered to use physical force? I assumed their detention procedures included
step 1: politely ask them to stop
step 2: forcefully ask them to stop
step 3: give up and go back inside.

Next time the deaf crooks should call ahead and make sure there is a security guard who knows sign language on duty.
