Beer: Best light lime?

Last summer we got into Bud Light Lime (BLL) as our kayaking refreshment of choice. I prefer “better” beers, but BLL was one that my gf and I could both enjoy.

Fast forward to this summer. I have tried Miller Chill, Moosehead Light Lime, Michelobe Cactus Lime (not “light”) as well as Corona with lime wedges added (also not light).

So…is there a “good” light lime beer out there? One that you can drink a six pack of while kayaking? I’ve heard of Blue Moon’s Rising Moon. Anybody try it?

Haven’t tried it but Rising Moon is a wheat beer. Try it straight or the traditional is to add a little raspberry syrup.

All the beers you listed need the lime ti hide the crummy beer.

Rising Moon is a craft beer and hopefully should be good enough to stand on it’s own.

Just looked at the website again and it’s got lime in it and it’s brewed by Coors. All bets are off.

I agree.

BUT, “light lime” works for the gf and I can drink it so… Labatt’s Blue Light Lime is another we’ve tried this summer and even she could tell it was piss. Add in the fact that we are in Pennsylvania. Beer by the 6 pack is overpriced, so I keep buying cases “to try”.:frowning:

Sitting at home evenings I’m currently enjoying Dogfish Head 120 Minute IPA. My gf will try a sip, but hops is not her thing.

Isn’t Bud Light Lime Stanley McChrystal’s favorite beer?

Nitpick: Blue Moon and its variants are brewed and distributed by Coors.
