I’m left wondering why a high school would make such items, considering that the kids aren’t supposed to be drinking. Even to give out to teachers or sell to parents it seems weird. Kinda cool as you note, but still weird.

In India Tuborg beer is sold in bottles with a ring tab on the caps for easy removal..

Not really, no. The edges of the opener, which probably rarely come into contact with the ground may barely touch it, but those type bottle openers really only touch the cap.
