I got this game as a gift, but I never would have bought it on my own. Could someone who’s played it give me a little review so I can decide if I want to keep it or trade it in without opening it?

I played it as a rental. It really wasn’t very good. The Two Towers was much better. You can read a bunch of reviews at www.gamefaqs.com where you will find that FOTR got pretty much bad reviews.
Thanks dorkusmalorkusmafia -I’d already read those reviews- I should’ve mentioned that. I just wanted to get a Doper perspective, and your opinion is pretty much the one I expected.

It definitely sucked. I sold it four days after I bought it.
Mediocre rental. Not at all worth buying. Shouldn’t take more than 8 hours beating, and the only reason it would take that long is to beat the damn Helms Deep level…
Played it, and agree with the thrashing it well deserves. Exchange it for something you want.
