Beforeigners on HBO (open spoilers for first two seasons after OP)

I didn’t expect the reveal, but kicked myself for not seeing it coming from a mile away. A Chekhov’s Pregnacy.

At least it’s not as creepy as a Groening Pregnancy …

So another update of The 4400, but a longer timeframe for ‘the past’?

Not really. The real entertainment value in Beforeigners is from the cultural clash with and between the new arrivals. I kind of wish there was no attempt by the writers to explore the phenomenon and just let the situation be the jump off point for the stories. The opening credits with glimpses of the Beforeigners coping with modern life used to be the best part of the show, but got less creative in season two.

We have watched the first tow, based upon this thread, and am enjoying it.

Nice they said " we are not using the V-word"- since viking is a job description, Norse were the people.

It is like calling everyone from the Western Europe Middle ages= “Knights”.

I also started watching it after the podcast :). Binge watched the whole thing, and loved it a lot. Can’t wait for Season 3.
