Shame I couldn’t see the webpage really, although doubtless I would have to tear my eyes out in disgust, or at least I assume so from less-fortunate people’s comments.

Fabio…Just wait until you get your grade, then repost the link. THEN, spend as much money as you can on cards with her e-mail address and cell phone numbers on them, then wander on down to the bad section of limbo with a pocket full of quarters and some mad dog, and play santa claus. Hopefully, the strung-out boredom of the local crackheads and junkies will force her to at least change her address/number, at most, she’ll be tracked down and kept in the trunk of a car until her ATM card doesn’t work any more…We’ll see who’s begging then, by God.
(of course, I’m kidding about the last part, sort of

so what grade did you get?
She still hasn’t submitted the grade yet, but I begged for it. Man, did I ever beg for it. I called it “Justifying my grade,” but we all know what I was really doing. All in all, I think I made a compelling case for a stellar grade. I even managed to avoid any passive-aggressive digs. I just hope it’s enough to satisfy her twisted desires.
I thought about reporting her, but it’s just not worth it. I’m graduating in a week and don’t want to stir up any trouble. Besides, my anger has subsided. It’s enough for me to know that I’ll never have to deal with her again.
Unless of course she assigns me a failing grade- in which case I will be back to update this rant with the appropriate levels of venom and boundless rage.
You sound like you had the mother of my Civil Procedure prof. This man was…I can’t even begin to explain. I feel your pain. Hang in there.
Even if your anger has still subsided, you should still take the time to report her. Seriously, this has probably happened before–you’re just perpetuating the cycle.
Actually, I’ve had classes with her before, and while they all sucked mightily, her behavior wasn’t anywhere near as bad. I think she has a “I’m losing my job after this semester and I don’t care anymore… and by the way, I think I’ll lash out randomly at my students to compensate for the blow to my ego” attitude.
Another fun story:
She has always done the “Stroll into class really late” thing. A couple years ago, I was in one of her programming courses. Since she is such a piss-poor teacher, most of her students don’t even bother to come to class. One day, about 5 or 6 people showed up from a class of around 20. She was especially late that day. Those of us who were there must have waited for half an hour. Finally, we just looked at each other, then got up and left. Apparently, she did show up that day, because we got an angry e-mail. She was pissed that nobody came to class, so she assigned a bunch of extra homework.
I think it was worth it.
Each of the schools I’ve attended had a period of time (10 - 20 minutes, varying by school) after which students could leave the room where an instructor had failed to appear with no penalty to the students. (Given that the students are buying the class time at exorbitant rates, I’ve always felt they should get a bit of a refund for a perpetually tardy instructor.)
