Can, or rather would, one be sued for downloading music if one is resident ouside the US?
Not Canadians, I hear!
We have stricter privacy laws, so if a music company went into our computer to check what we downloaded and sued us, we could countersue them because that is not legal here.
You can’t be sued for downloading music in the US either. It’s allowing others to download from you that is getting people sued.
