I want Peter Hooten & Jeffrey Combs to have cameos in this. And btw, I see Benedict Cumberbatch more as Dr. Strange than I ever would have considered him as Khan.
I’ve been a Dr. Strange fan since day one. I’m very happy with the choice of Cumberbatch.
I don’t think that fans would object to a change of nationality. Kingpin and Nick Fury both got their races changed, and everyone seems to think that those worked out well enough.
He didn’t spend six years in strange medical school to be called “mister”.
Let’s change his gender too!
“Mister” is the term of honour for UK surgeons.
Back in the day, he would’ve been played by Vincent Price.
Kingpin just got changed back though.
+1, Like, etc
Funny you should mention that: http://www.cnn.com/2014/10/01/showbiz/female-new-thor/
And Anglican priests, and British military officers of the rank of lieutenant and below, I’ve read.
Now wait a minute? There’s going to be a Ben-Hur remake? Really? I’ve seen both the silent and the sound versions, hard to think in this day and age that those epics could be bettered. We knew it was all real stunts and real sets and no CGI. Plus topless girls in the silent version! And male nudity, well, from the back anyway.
Benedict Cumberbatch had a role in August Osage County. Complete with Okie accent.
IIRC he also did a decent Southern accent in 12 Years a Slave.
Weirdly, the Kingpin was originally designed as black, but there were concerns about the then-current political sensitivities. And the Daredevil movie Kingpin would’ve been white if they’d found an actor of the requisite size who was at least as good as Michael Clarke Duncan.
