Benghazi Attack for Dummies.

They weren’t. they were sent to Tripoli.

Why did Hilary say it was her biggest mistake?

She said it was her biggest regret. Not the same thing.

Post 879 was clearly about the team at the CIA annex. They were already in Benghazi, and were sent to the consulate.

Another team was sent from Tripoli to Benghazi.

The FAST platoon was sent to Tripoli because by then the evacuation had been completed for several hours.

So who is it you’re saying could have been sent into combat, but were not?

Oh, sure. I mean, you know, you make these choices based on imperfect information. And you make them to – as we say, the best of your ability. But that doesn’t mean that there’s not going to be unforeseen consequences, unpredictable twists and turns.

Where does it say that she wish she sent in the A-team on motorcycles?

Not the A-Team.

Megaforce.

The team sent to Tripoli wanted to go to Benghazi. It took 4 hrs to even activate the Rota FAST team.

Do you still think that they were told to “stand down?” When the commander of the SF team in Tripoli has denied that he was ever given such an order?

Who said she did? I asked you why she said it was her biggest mistake? I cited where she talks about the decision making process.

They were told not to go to Benghazi.

If they had been ordered in, and then been slaughtered, would Obama’s critics have given him a break?

It’s good that they were not ordered into the fray, most likely. Teams like that always want to go in, and it’s good that their commanders sometimes hold them back when the conditions are not favorable, or too little is known to make a good judgment.

The goddamn Batman.

Really?

Do you even know the airspeed velocity of a fully laden Batman?
There’s no way he could have travelled from Europe to North Africa within the time-frame

They were told to receive the evacuees once they got to Tripoli, and they literally saved a wounded person’s life because they were doing their job in Tripoli.

If the security contractors were not able to secure the compound with the six of them and about 50 militiamen with heavy weapons, what do you think four more Green Berets would have been able to do had they gone to Benghazi?

It sure would be nice if you’d use specifics. Who are you referring to? No one was sent into Tripoli until after the evacuation was completed.

Do you mean the four-man Special Forces team that was already in Tripoli, but stayed there to protect the embassy while a six-man team flew to Benghazi?

Further, if those four Green Berets had flown in with the six-man team, leaving the embassy defenseless, they’d have been sitting at the airport in Benghazi trying to locate Stevens and arrange for Libyan assistance, which is what that six-man team did from when they landed until 4:30 a.m.

Because you’re so-called “experts” are from the category of military officer personnel who spend the greater part of their careers sitting around jacking off and giving each other medals for not spilling their coffee. Your acceptance of the so-called evidence and cites from a politically-charged group of ass-kissers as opposed to reality is telling. You sound like the type of person with a lot of time on his hands to sit around convincing yourself to believe a lot of “stuff” you read and hear. If you had the slightest clue about the military and how it works, you’d recognize the testimony of high ranking officers in cases like these is tailored strictly for the benefit of covering the boss’s butt himself or whoever he wants protected.

There’s no evidence for the statements you’ve been making. Further, your opinions on military matters so far demonstrate poor knowledge of how the military works in the real world.

Isn’t it about time you told us where *your *knowledge of that subject, superior to that of the mere career officer corps, comes from? :dubious:
