Ben Bradlee, the editor of the Washington Post, who directed Robert Woodward and Carl Bernstein’s coverage of the Watergate coverup and helped end Richard M. Nixon’s presidency has passed away at the age of 93. The paper earned 17 Pulitzer Prizes during his tenure as editor, which ran from 1965 to 1991.
“run that baby!”
Mr. Bradlee was, in my opinion, an exemplary journalist and a truly great American. RIP.
I highly recommend his autobiography, A Good Life. It’s one of the best I’ve read.
A good life indeed. RIP.
