I had some bent fish in my aquarium…they were neon tetras. Then the not-so-herbivorous algae eater got them (not the Chinese type, the larger one). Anyhoo, a friend of mine says this bent-spine is a symptom of fish TB! Is this correct? Anyone else witness this? - Jinx
Apparently that can be one of the symptoms, yes.
Bent spines can also be caused by inbreeding, and many cheap mass-produced aquarium fish like neon tetras are heavily inbred.
