Bernie Sanders makes it official. How far will he go in 2020?

Not if the media can help it. Bernie and his stick-it-to-the-moderates proclivities are Drama!

DEMS IN DISARRAY! RATINGS BONANZA!

Waiting for the next right wing news headline.

DEMS IN DISARRAY! SANDERS BLASTS HILLARY FOR MURDERING VINCE FOSTER AND SETH RICH! CLINTON FIRES BACK WITH BOLSHEVIK BERNIE EPITHET!

Well, we can take that for granted.

It’s when the New York Times and Washington Post and the tv networks (besides Fox) start resorting to easy/lazy story-lines, that I grind my teeth.
(my emphasis)

Lol, Sanders is one of the top contenders for the nomination right now.

No he isn’t, Sanders and Biden are just name recognition. As mentioned before, Sanders has a higher floor right now, but also a very narrow ceiling.

I don’t care about any polls right now, this is like me predicting the Patriots will win the Super Bowl for the 2020 Super Bowl.

What I find fascinating is that Bernie Sanders has the most street cred out of all the candidates in the progressive movement and civil rights. He was arrested for it 50 years ago during the civil rights movement, and has been pushing progressivism forward for the same amount of time. No candidate has anywhere near his credibility or bonafides.

But that’s not what fascinates me. What fascinates me is that in spite of this, in spite of his immense credibility and proven dedication, you know what the real problem is? He’s a white guy.

That is a fascinating self defeat.

Going and marching for civil rights back before most African Americans were even born, then retreating to lily white Vermont for a half century, isn’t that impressive to a lot of black people.

I’m being reminded again this week why the whole Bernie movement is so irksome. They don’t just advocate for their guy, they viciously try to tear down anyone they see as a threat, and not “pure” enough. In 2015/2016, that was all aimed at Hillary (whom I supported). Now they are afraid Beto is going to attract Millennial voters, so their guerrilla fighters are starting up again: I saw a viral tweet from a Sandernista who videoed herself grilling Beto on his big first day haul, casting aspersions about how it must not represent as low an average number as Bernie’s; and while filibustering in lead-up to her “question”, threw some other shade about Beto being a pretty boy with a lot of empty rhetoric. They remind me of the Ron Paulites of the GOP a few years back, and I’m so over them already.

I’d like to laugh at this, but I’m afraid it’s very true.

The latest news is that Bernie is now a member of the top 1%:

While that makes him rich, I am not sure about super-rich, where you need $50 million or so:

I didn’t see it but apparently, according to Vox, Bernie handled the Fox MAGAbots pretty well during his forum last night. Did anyone here watch, and do you agree?
