I did see it. I didn’t pay much attention to the pop music world in 2018. It doesn’t seem like I missed much.

Ever since I stopped listening to Phil Collins and Genesis and U2, I’ve been terrible at keeping track of pop music. I’ve only heard “This is America” to know what it is (although I’ve likely heard the others). I’m sulky that the enormous talent of Janelle Monae isn’t on the list.
Despite my ignorance, I voted for “This Is America,” because it was amazing, and because I’m bad at keeping my opinion out of things when I probably should.
