Best (and most enduring) Hits of the 60's, 70's, 80's

It’s so hard to remember all the songs that were popular back a few years ago, and I’d rather share memories than wade through charts for the decades mentioned in the title. What mainstream songs from the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s do you think were the best, and have they endured? So many songs lose their appeal so quickly and once they leave the charts, you can’t listen to them anymore.

My vote goes to Take On Me by A-ha. 80’s song, but still enjoyable.

Mr Cazzle would vote for Hold Me Now by the Thompson Twins if I asked him. He’s often said that it sounds as good today as when it was first released.

I look forward to your feedback.

No worries, cazzle, I got one for ya.

Heat of the moment by Asia. Besides being an all around great rock song, it still sounds as crisp and powerful as it did the day it was released - in 1982.

Fantastic song that stood the test of time, and unlike most of y CD collection, it even qualifies as a “hit”.

I’ll play! I don’t necessarily think these were the best songs of their decade, (I could stare at my keyboard for hours trying to decide on that), but I do think they have endured / aged well:

50’s: I’m walkin’ - Fats Domino. 1957.

60’s: Land of 1000 Dances - Wilson Pickett. 1966.

70’s: More Than a Feeling - Boston. 1976.

80s: Never Say Never - Romeo Void. 1981.

Honorable mentions to Hound Dog, Celebration, Family Affair, Whip It.
