I’ll second Smoky Bones as a terrible chain. I’m not even sure if the food was all that bad (although there are definitely better places in even a place like Albany, NY) but I found the whole thing very annoying. The decor, for instance, was like I was being loudly and aggressively advertised to while I was already in the restaurant. I’m thinking, “I’m already here. You can stop yelling at me to eat at Smoky Bones already.”
North Main BBQ? They’re good, if I’m close to there at the right time, I’ll go there.
To the OP, don’t waste you time going to Slow BBQ. It’s overrated. There’s a line out the door of people believing the hype. I can make better ribs at home and their mac and cheese is great for spackling drywall.
I have yet to try Union Woodshop in Clarkston.
Tunnel BBQ in Windsor was my go to rib joint for years until they closed.
Windsor also had my favorite Chinese place (Wah Court) until they closed.
