Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood is excellent but I wouldn’t call it a children’s show. Teenagers, maybe.
Another vote for Adventure Time. Also, did anyone mention Regular Show yet?
I’ve watched the entire series of Avatar: The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra all the way through with my kids at least 8 times each. They are quite good.
Regular Show - which some speculate can be viewed as a prequel to Adventure Time
We Bare Bears. Just wonderful and nice and wimsical
Yup, the kid is well aware of Avatar. One of his favorites of all time.
Gravity Falls
Phineas and Ferb
Star Wars Rebels
Then he’ll be entertained well into his adult years!
It’s a win/win for all really…
I’ll add another vote for the original Powerpuff Girls…the reboot is just flat IMO.
One of Adventure Time’s former writers/artists, Rebecca Sugar, created Steven Universe. Like Adventure Time, this show has a nice running plot and lots of catchy songs.
We Bare Bears is the most fun show I’ve seen in a long time. Ice Bear is my current favorite TV character.
I’ve seen one episode of the reboot and wasn’t impressed. Still will check out other episodes. The original was great. Also from that time period: Dexter’s Lab.
“Ice Bear agrees with this sentiment”
Last five years? But…but…that rules out Invader Zim! How could you not give love to Invader Zim?
I know it’s 20 years old now… But, when my daughter was young, we watched Bear In The Big Blue House. I adored that show.
When I was younger, we had this thing called The Muppet Show… It’s time to play the music! It’s time to light the lights!
Yeah, but his kid is 11. It’s perfect for that age.
Half hour form, I have to second “Phineas and Ferb,” which is about as perfect as a formulaic show can be. Wonderfully animated, great characters, great voice acting, great everything.
Short form, I’ll second “Adventure Time,” which is remarkably clever and deep.
Last Five Years? Steven Universe is the best show currently running. I’d say Avatar: Legend of Korra, Gravity Falls, Star Wars Rebels, Over the Garden Wall, Adventure Time, Miraculous! and My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. I prefer more story-oriented shows to comedies, but there’s Amazing World of Gumball and Phineas & Ferb. We Bare Bears is worth watching just for Ice Bear.
