Pig skins?
Did someone above say “cans of chicken”?
I don’t think I’ve ever seen such a thing.
Swanson makes it. In my store you generally find it by the canned tuna section.
Wait, I think I remember seeing those when I was a kid. I was thinking of a big can next to the corned beef, or something.
Yeah canned chicken is always in the back of the pantry for emergencies.
That’s what my freezer is for, I guess.
Behold: Amazon.com: Sweet Sue Canned Whole Chicken without Giblets 50oz Can (Pack of 4) : Grocery & Gourmet Food . Not just canned chicken, but whole canned chicken. No giblets, and I believe it’s boned. Or deboned. Doesn’t have bones in it, I mean. This was always in the commissary shelves when my husband was in the Air Force, but I never bought it. Not even when I had no freezer, and had to shop for meat every couple of days.
My husband’s mother used to serve the regular Chicken & Dumplings, but I never cared for it. Mind you, I like homemade chicken and dumplings, just not that canned version.
I have to admit that I sometimes have a can or two of chicken (Swanson, not Sweet Sue) in the pantry. In fact, I probably should get a couple of cans for the winter. Sometimes the power goes out, and it’s very handy to be able to open a can of protein that doesn’t require cooking, or even heating. I don’t think it’s as good as fresh or frozen chicken, but it’s a good pantry staple.
Gatorade, saltine crackers, and little servings of string cheese.
Playing football on a full stomach is probably not advisable. Keep it light, and go for a big feed after the game.
