Countries with socialized medicine can’t educate enough physicians to meet demand, so they have to hire doctors from other countries, and the U.S. will have to do the same if universal health care happens. Those foreign doctors could turn out to be terrorists. (In fact the U.S. already isn’t producing enough family doctors, and brings over a lot of foreign-born nurses.) Also, because socialized systems are impersonal, the health care workers would miss clues that a patient could be a terrorist and a doctor wouldn’t, or something.

Yeah, I work in a hospital and it’s not like we lack doctors from other countries. It wouldn’t be a huge change.

The other implied part is that if we have UHC, more people would be going to the doctors. Oh Noes!
