Best Cameo in a Television Series

Is that the one where the three little aliens come down in Hollywood and go star-struck because they’ve been intercepting television signals for the last 50 years?

That reminds me. There was another Amazing Stories episode Remote Control Man, where characters from TV come to life and fill up some guy’s living room. It had cameos by Gary Coleman as Arnold, Lou Ferrigno as The Hulk, and Dirk Benedict as Face, among others.

There was also a pretty hilarious episode with 2 Sammy Davis, Jrs.

George Clooney as the gay dog on South Park.

And on Star Trek: TNG.

Somehow, I managed to misread this as a response to Sampiro’s post, and was left wondering what episode of Star Trek featured George Clooney as a gay dog.

Shades of Grey

:dubious:

Dharma and Greg was an OK series, sometimes funny, sometimes not. But how in the world did they get Bob Dylan to do a cameo on it? Pretty funny, too.

The thing is, she’s STILL nearly that hot. From The Birds til now, Suzanne has owned my heart.

Er, her and Jill St John.

Hate to break it to you, but she passed away early last year.

Eh, our tastes may vary a bit…

The “Batman” tv series of the 1960s had a number of “Batclimb Cameos”. Batman and Robin would be climbing up the side of a building, a window would open and a famous actor/character would have a brief conversation with the Dynamic Duo. I particularly remember Edward G Robinson say “Who knows, the woman who posed for the Mona Lisa might have been the evilest woman in the world. But what a smile!”. Unfortunately these cameos maybe one of the many factors keeping this series from coming out on DVD.

Dennis Rodmen on 3rd Rock frm the Son

After years of hearing about Chandler Bing’s transvestite father, Friends scored a real coup by having him played by Kathleen Turner.

Col. Klink of Hogan’s Heroes was another one.

Who also cameod as Klink/an angel on THE SIMPSONS.

There was also a weird cameo with Dick Clark on that show, something about him hanging out with Dharma’s weird friends and someone being designated “the watcher”. In the end it turns out Dick Clark is supposed to lick the watcher, and he’s REALLLLY into it… The watcher, not so much.

Speaking of Dick Clark, he also had a really funny cameo on Mad About You. The whole episode was about New Year’s Eve, and Paul does something to cause the ball drop to be delayed, thus delaying the New Year. In the cameo, Dick is lamenting that this is the one year he decided to take the night off. It was funny at the time, it might be less so now that his health has gotten bad and he has had to miss some years, and really cut back what he does on the ones he’s since shown up for, but I haven’t seen the episode since then.
And for a non-Dick Clark cameo, how about that Cylon (original model, nice and chrome, as Cylons should be!:p) walking by Face in the A-Team opening credits? (And for anyone that doesn’t know Face = Starbuck, original version)

TBG, you win! That Cylon/A-Team appearance? Just checked it out…blew my mind! I can’t believe I didn’t know that. Sweet!

Speaking of Mad About You, I remember a caemo from Jerry Lewis that had me laughing my ass off.
